About This Game Darkness and Flame. Born of Fire - adventure quest game with hidden objects, mini-games, and puzzles, set in a unique fantasy world, the Fertile Lands, filled with oases and infinite deserts. Story is interesting and graphics are good, and puzzles are interesting. Theres lots of scenes and all they are very well made. I've got no bad things to say about this one. Nice casual way to spend some hours. Sometimes there's lots of jumping around, but you've got the map, use it ;) Strongly recommended!. A pretty nice puzzle adventure. Visuals and music are pretty. Story is interesting. Voices are decent. Hidden object scenes are of the type where you find objects based on shape, then use them to complete tasks to get other objects. They're a bit challenging. Other puzzles run from easy to difficult. There are collection objects and morphing objects to find. The short bonus chapter gives some insight into something that happened in the past. Expect around 6 hours of gameplay, plus there are some tangram-like puzzles to play with in the Extras.. My favorite game. Very beautiful colors and smooth animation style.. So I've played the game, and had issues with 3 of the achievements not registering after completing the task, specifically for the Master of Shadows task. I watched the "prompt" which stated I completed it, but when it steam, there was no credit to the task. This put a "bad taste in my mouth" and felt like I was just "going through the motions" to finish the game. The game is beautiful, but not happy with the gameplay.. I would have loved to give this game thumbs up recommendation- but it is not going to happen. I am very disappointed.I waited for this game to be on sale –and I am glad that I did. From mine point of view it is not worth the money. Not even the sale price.The story is somewhat okay for a HOG, but you do forget the story doing so many other none important and often illogical issues.The puzzles are illogical/confusing and do not always connect to the story. The hogscenes are just plain boring: You just have to find the match to the silhouettes. The worst part for me was the frustrating part of the map. After you are leaving a significant part of your life, you have to go back over again and again and again to find special objects. The map is so important to finish the game. The map is SO impotant.Oh: And sometimes the map doesn’t even make any sense. It opens places you haven’t reached yet in the story. Intriguing… Confusing… AnnoyingI did finish the game, but only two of my several achievements are listed. In the thread, I can see that the game is also having a bonus but I can’t see it.
